A Leading global media and entertainment company that produces and distributes premium adult streaming content to worldwide audiences across both web and app platforms. We continues to grow its global footprint and is looking to hire a Senior Backend Engineer.

As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Application team, you will be working closely with the Product and Client teams to implement new features. With needing to support millions of requests per minute, performance and stability are some of the top concerns in your design. You are able to design in increments and be able to prioritize feature requirements and optimizations. You aim for re-usability in the components with a KISS mentality.

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with the Client team to architect solutions for new features
2. Optimize for performance
3. Maintain simplicity of design
4. Improve long term stability of the service
5. Perform code reviews and mentor others
6. 4+ years building web applications for scalability
7. Experience with Python, Git, MongoDB, Redis
8. In-depth experience of Flask and/or Celery is a plus
9. Excellent analytical and communications skills
10. Excellent understanding of HTTP and related technologies and development of APIs
11. Experience with developing for Google Cloud
12. Familiar with various architecture styles

2. Experience working with cluster environments and/or containers. ie. Kubernetes, Docker
